Rustmother

Rustmother began as an idea from two teens in a garage with a burning passion to make music. Those two teens are Logan Stiles (Rhythm Guitar) and Chris Rodriguez (Lead Bass). They spent months trying to find a drummer, when an old friend of Chris' from a school event they did together contacted him out of the blue. Gabriel Duguay is probably the best drummer ever, and while he lives 3 hours away from Chris and Logan, he agreed to join the band. What made things even easier is he is going to college at SUNY Potsdam, 20 minutes from Logan's house. No need for 6 hour road trips to practice! So there they were, three delinquents in Logans garage studio absolutely shredding. That first day that they played together, they also had to stop the world from imploding from the immediate awesomeness and power coming from Logans garage. They instantly clicked. And they knew it, too. What sets Rustmother apart is not only the bamboozling mastery of Gabriel on the drums, and the deafening perfection of Logans riffs and guitar squeals, but the unique way Chris plays bass. Ever heard of Royal Blood? Yeah they basically ripped them off (not really please don't sue). Chris uses an octave up pedal and heavy distortion to make his bass sound like a lead guitar, while also being able to simultaneously play the low-end parts using pedals. They are all extremely talented individuals, but that is an understatement when you put all three of them in a room together. Right now, Rustmother is still a fledgling band, still building up a setlist to be able to play live, still passionate about what they do. And believe me (the narrator), when Rustmother plays live, all Hell will break loose. Thanks for reading!
